Have been a while since i updated, due to NS life. which is obviously sucks. well, i poc already. which is gd. Currently on some leadership course which i find it dam sucky. hope the course will be over soon. life has not been smooth for the past 2 wks due to somethings in camp.Hope I can hang on. 1 thing i learn is gd time management in and outside camp, so that i can have my own life too. Since poc, i have already miss my platoon and bunk mates. All have different posting. But only 5 attending the leadership course.Miss live firing ><

last 2 weeks was CK zone youth camp. i went for only 1 session but its impacting and fun! this year the shirt was not as nice as last year. but its still apealling too. asked ruth to help me buy a red and black shirt in M size but she gt a Red shirt with M and black shirt with S. because the black shirt gt no more stock with M size. aiyo could have tell me first before she buy mah..when i heard she gt me a black S shirt i was super sian.. but heng arh the shirt is not expensive..because i couldnt fit into the S size. so in the end i gave my mum the black shirt, since she could wear S size. lols

Today is the last day as a civilian. Tomorrow will be the start of my new phase in life. Just cut my hair. got to get use to it. but its dam cooling lah since the weather so hot now adays.

my 21th bday is coming, sian.. NS call me at the wrong time.. no choice also..but at least i have the wkends to celebrate after i book out on the 2nd or 3rd july ;)

Alrigty, the soccer tournament was last sunday at fico. It was okay. Though did not qualify but managed to finish 2nd in the group table because only the top team goes to the final. First match lost 2-1, second match won 3-1. I wanna take this chance to thank the supporters that came down to support and giving us your moral support.Thanks for all the friends and Cg that came down to support us too. =) Without you all, it will have been much tougher. was quite disappointed with my performance.. first game i was too nervous.. den make mistake..lost 2-1.. second game i was stable already.. won 3-1 but it was too late.. shouldnt have lost the first game..needed the other team to beat the first team bt dey lost.. so we cant go to the finals.. in the end finished 2nd of the grp table.. though won 1 n lost 1 bt i was quite disappointed with myself overrall.. oh well..its over alreadi..

Last week was my first lesson in Riff Music School, went with Xiang, Qiang, and Sherill. Li went to singing class.. LOL okayss..it was at bukit merah and we managed to find the place and was there early... The lesson was fantastic.. learnt quite a number of things.. this week have to be there at 9.30am. half n hour earlier! =_=
But anyway.. looking forward to this week's lesson.. =D

Sang this praise song today in church. I think this is the second Chris Tomlin song we've ever sung in church (CHC). The first would be 'How Great Is Our God'. Is CHC going to invite him to lead P&W anytime in 2009? I hope so!

Last wk was my first time playing praise along for cg.. at first was suppose to play with serene but in the end serene gave me the chance to play alone for the first time...thanks serene =) I was kinda kan choing cos it was my first time playing alone.. playing wif another person and playing alone is really veri different.. though i make mistakes but I will learn from my mistakes and continue practice real hard. I believe in sowing and reaping.. I will reap what I sow ya? I will continue sowing hard work and I believe I will reap good results =)

Learnt alot of things from him that my teacher outside can't teach me.. today i saw a 12 string guitar!i couldnt believe my eyes at first.. the shop owner surprisely let me try it and it sound sooo nice!! crystal clear sound!when i strum 16 beat the sound was.. super shoik.. really different frm a normal 6 string guitar... the price also veri nice.. $480!! its quite hard to pluck though.. cos its 12 string.. but its possible.. jus have to get use to it.. goona save up to get one.. At last! its over! flash assignment is over!!after 3 days of pia-ing! time to relac abit.. WOOOOO!!!
heard from the teacher that assignment 2 is next week.. oh well.. relax my mind first.. stare 2 long hours at computer liaoz =/

anyway! last week was asia conference! Love everything expect the queueing! omg.. the queue like never end de! and it was raining like mad!And we opened umbrella at Foyer 3.. LMAO hahas... so happi tat JJ-Lin and Liu Gen Hong sang at the last session though we sat at the overflow hall.below are the pics i took.. omg.. Sat went with the Cg to escape theme park.. Thx God it didnt rain the whole afternooN! whhooo! Woke up at 5.45am today.send yj off to tekong for BMT at pasir ris with me, pok, qiang, sherill,tina,vic and ruth.so super tired.
While on the way to the shuttle bus service, saw daryl enlisting into army today too.. hmm
there was lots of ppl enlisting and friends and family members supporting dem.. while we were accompanying yj to queue up to board the shuttle bus to the ferry terminal, all of the sudden 1 of the officer shouted this, "RECURITS TUCK IN YOUR SHIRT!" I was like -_- though I enlisting after my course ends but already feeling abit of Ns stress le LOL.well, time will pass real fast and it will soon be my turn.. anyway, me vic n sherill wanted to accompany yj to go in to tekong as he has 3 extra tickets bt in the end we don noe y nvr go. ha

anyway, after breakfast, went out wif the rest for the whole day den started work at 7pm. I was like zzz. die liao lah, after 2 days still no appointment.. that time b 4 attchment i still gt alot of appointment lo den now don have.. i going ki siao liao.. ha. ok. time to knock out. so tired le..=D

3D rendering is the 3D computer graphics process of automatically converting 3D wire frame models into 2D images with 3D photorealistic effects on a computer.

Rendering methods

Main Article: Rendering

Rendering is the final process of creating the actual 2D image or animation from the prepared scene. This can be compared to taking a photo or filming the scene after the setup is finished in real life. Several different, and often specialized, rendering methods have been developed. These range from the distinctly non-realistic wireframe rendering through polygon-based rendering, to more advanced techniques such as: scanline rendering, ray tracing, or radiosity. Rendering may take from seconds to days for a single image/frame. In general, different methods are better suited for either photo-realistic rendering, or real-time rendering.

Real-time

An example of a ray-traced image that typically takes seconds or minutes to render. The photo-realism is apparent.

Rendering for interactive media, such as games and simulations, is calculated and displayed in real time, at rates of approximately 20 to 120 frames per second. In real-time rendering, the goal is to show as much information as possible as the eye can process in a 30th of a second (or one frame, in the case of 30 frame-per-second animation). The goal here is primarily speed and not photo-realism. In fact, here exploitations are made in the way the eye 'perceives' the world, and as a result the final image presented is not necessarily that of the real-world, but one close enough for the human eye to tolerate. Rendering software may simulate such visual effects as lens flares, depth of field or motion blur. These are attempts to simulate visual phenomena resulting from the optical characteristics of cameras and of the human eye. These effects can lend an element of realism to a scene, even if the effect is merely a simulated artifact of a camera. This is the basic method employed in games, interactive worlds, VRML. The rapid increase in computer processing power has allowed a progressively higher degree of realism even for real-time rendering, including techniques such as HDR rendering. Real-time rendering is often polygonal and aided by the computer's GPU.

Animations for non-interactive media, such as feature films and video, are rendered much more slowly. Non-real time rendering enables the leveraging of limited processing power in order to obtain higher image quality. Rendering times for individual frames may vary from a few seconds to several days for complex scenes. Rendered frames are stored on a hard disk then can be transferred to other media such as motion picture film or optical disk. These frames are then displayed sequentially at high frame rates, typically 24, 25, or 30 frames per second, to achieve the illusion of movement.

When the goal is photo-realism, techniques are employed such as ray tracing or radiosity. This is the basic method employed in digital media and artistic works. Techniques have been developed for the purpose of simulating other naturally-occurring effects, such as the interaction of light with various forms of matter. Examples of such techniques include particle systems (which can simulate rain, smoke, or fire), volumetric sampling (to simulate fog, dust and other spatial atmospheric effects), caustics (to simulate light focusing by uneven light-refracting surfaces, such as the light ripples seen on the bottom of a swimming pool), and subsurface scattering (to simulate light reflecting inside the volumes of solid objects such as human skin).

The rendering process is computationally expensive, given the complex variety of physical processes being simulated. Computer processing power has increased rapidly over the years, allowing for a progressively higher degree of realistic rendering. Film studios that produce computer-generated animations typically make use of a render farm to generate images in a timely manner. However, falling hardware costs mean that it is entirely possible to create small amounts of 3D animation on a home computer system. The output of the renderer is often used as only one small part of a completed motion-picture scene. Many layers of material may be rendered separately and integrated into the final shot using compositing software.

Reflection and shading models

Models of reflection/scattering and shading are used to describe the appearance of a surface. Although these issues may seem like problems all on their own, they are studied almost exclusively within the context of rendering. Modern 3D computer graphics rely heavily on a simplified reflection model called Phong reflection model (not to be confused with Phong shading). In refraction of light, an important concept is the refractive index. In most 3D programming implementations, the term for this value is "index of refraction," usually abbreviated "IOR." Shading can be broken down into two orthogonal issues, which are often studied independently:

Reflection/Scattering - How light interacts with the surface at a given point
Shading - How material properties vary across the surface

Reflection or scattering is the relationship between incoming and outgoing illumination at a given point. Descriptions of scattering are usually given in terms of a bidirectional scattering distribution function or BSDF. Popular reflection rendering techniques in 3D computer graphics include:
Flat shading: A technique that shades each polygon of an object based on the polygon's "normal" and the position and intensity of a light source.
Gouraud shading: Invented by H. Gouraud in 1971, a fast and resource-conscious vertex shading technique used to simulate smoothly shaded surfaces.
Texture mapping: A technique for simulating a large amount of surface detail by mapping images (textures) onto polygons.
Phong shading: Invented by Bui Tuong Phong, used to simulate specular highlights and smooth shaded surfaces.
Bump mapping: Invented by Jim Blinn, a normal-perturbation technique used to simulate wrinkled surfaces.
Cel shading: A technique used to imitate the look of hand-drawn animation.

Last friday,me,Yj,victor,peter,qiang and xiang played badminton at yck CC.. 2 hrs long... we booked 2 courts..it was super fun lor.. but after tat hand dam pain.. ahahs.. it was a gd workout.. after tat we went for steamboat at amk.. ate until super full lo..but we had a great time.. ahahs.. we forgot to take pics haix. nvm we shall take next time =D

FOP! last wk! went to SIS on sat.. queue up frm 5pm onwards... LOL we dabaO frm tamp all the way to SIS for picnic.. wah.. den play UNo cards while queueing.. y did it end so fast! arghhh! Parachute band and Reburn Morgan! We sat juz below the speakers and it blasted our ears.. duh.. but nearer to the stage can feel the atmosphere better!
anyway, the event ended at 10 plus.. reached home at 12am+ the best thing is tat the music was still in my head! lols
hahas... anyway, went to supper wif joyceln, annisa and weilong ytd.. wah after durian den go eat supper.. so dotz...!

I going korea soon but i duno when!! arghh! waiting for my dad to confirm the leave den can book the tickets! and i have to noe whn is my holidays too! T_T hahas. okays tats all..

Firstly I wanna thank Brenda(Dajie), Joyce(Erjie), Michelle(Stacy),Chinhui, Fuyu(Fupi), Jennifer, Ah boon and Alan for celebrating with me at Cineleisure on wed! Rockx ON! Thanks for the shirt and chain muhaha i luv it alot! =D HAd lots of fun especially taking neoprints!and the movie was great! I really enjoyed myself =D here r the neoprints that we took!

on thus i celebrated wif Adrian, Singnee,Shirlyn,Sherry, Kor, Mei and the rest of the gang for going Zuok wif me on thus! haha! had a great time dancing n drinking thru out! haha! finally! my internship was over on friday and i could smell freeee-dom! Last 2 months of my internship was great and fruitful experience but the physical tiredness has taken out on me. Last friday was my last thus was my second last day of work and I took half day off to go for youth camp. oh well, youth camp was great, but it could have been better =) The sessions was powerful and enjoyable.On the last day of youth camp, left at 7.30am coz I didnt went to work so us went to seoul garden to makan.. wow it was quite ex but it was enjoyable and fun! Ate till our fill.This 3 wks I will be able to get my best form back and running 5km everyday!

Counting Down to end of Internship. 5 days.

super looking forward to the end of internship. this internship really eat up almost all my free time in the last 2 months. after next wk, the taste of freedom starts. I can get back to my usual lifestyle and do stuffs that I can't do before coz of work.

Yesterday was quite funny especially when I was the most tired point. staring at my computer for long, my eyes tend to be veri tired after awhile. up to a point where i feel like sleeping. but I cant =.= den, I receive a msn file.. fupi suddenly send me a flash game and asked me to try it out for no reason. -.- so i thought it will juz be a normal flash game.. when i played the game, i have to go through a maze without touching the walls.(using the mouse to go through the maze tat kind.)

when i finally reached level 3, a pontianak(I think) suddenly appear at my com with a very loud scream... dotz man.. lucky my com volume was soft and oni half of the company heard it.. and was askin wats tat sound whn it came out of nowhere -.- HAHA it will be damm funny..if i were to on my volume louder, i will have an heart attack.. haha by den, i was fully awake le.. veri gd lo ^.^ the game came at the right time when I feel like sleeping -.- nice one.. keep it up =D continue making flash games. hahas. the game really makes my day yesterday.. LOL

this sat cgm, zzz performance.. nt enough time to practice wif my members.. even if nw there is, it will nt be a quality performance coz of time in 2 days. sianz lah.

Hello, i've decided i cant feign happiness when happiness is really, a term very far away from my heart. And what is happiness in life? Really, i dont have an answer. Is happiness the moment you score 6 a1s for your o levels? I dont think so, at least the happiness would be one in the category of temporary. It really seems i've driven into this path of my life, that is winding and i really cannot see whats coming around the next corner. But right now, at this very bend i'm turning, i'm breaking. Truthfully, its very depressing to be depressed all the time, i do not want to suffer from bipolar whatever, i know i'm not near that, but really somewhere in me screams sadness. wahaha.... ytd watch harry potter le... so kool... i rate the show 7/10... watch it at marina square... the chair was hard...so abit uncomfortable.... haha..ate so much tibits until goona be sick... haha.... today i went to habourfront wif my friends to have a buffet lunch... it was great... eat until siao.... lol...after tat we went to marina bay to play pool.... i played well and was on form for 4 games... 4 games all i win... haha... after the 4 games ppl start comin in... i was starting to be distracted becoz got alot of c**o*u... haha.... but in the end i turn the tables around to win the game!!! muhaha... the most fun part is whn we went to the arcade there was this game machine tat got alot of coins inside...one of my friends keep kiking the machine becoz the coins was stuck...so we got alot of free games to play... (we kik the machine becoz no ppl was in the arcade,expect for a camera).... after awhile we went to call the person incharge to ask him to help us kick the machine lol becoz there was abt 5 dollars worth of coins inside tat is stuck...then he use the pole to hit the machine so kool man so many free games to play....anyway the person in charge was kool man... haha... got so many free games...after playing,we went to a hawker centre to eat... wah.. my friend treat all of us... it was so gd man... we really appreciate it... haha thanks... after tat we went to play the arcade again but this time it was a diffferent one... haha.. we play the board hockry,mashimaro,soccer table,the bang bang game..( use the controller to use strength to bang each other)... itwas so fun man... after tat we took a bus to marina bay mrt and we went bak home..my whole body aching now... haha... gonna be sick... =p.

heLLO!!!this is 7.38am in the morning and i am here blogging! is october liao ar??? hahaz.... yeah... happi now tat the new month is gone??? haha...hmm.. september have been a month that has been going through ups and downs.but no choice lah...how hard the problem is also muz solve right??? problems mould our character to be a better person and not to run away frm it....but one thing tat has always been there in september is the lameness!! haha... have been crapping and laming all month long without doubt!hehe!lots of things happened in september!!so fun.Ytd chc service 2 was great man!Pst Tan power loh!!!!his preaching so gd!! to me,his the 2nd best pastor in chc!! haha..RoXs maN!okok... tats all i have to say,hope u all have a gd october month if u all have not had a gd time in september! =P

haha.... this week svc and cg is so great!!! ytd svc was feel with a strong atmosphere of God!!!the praise and worship was tremendous!!! especially the worship,can feel God's presence around the whole main audi!!but,the WOG is veri impt 2... learned ytd tat the Holy spirit is veri impt in our lives besides God and the son!The holy spirit is the 3rd Godhead,the holy spirit is juz like a gentle wind felt wif God's presence!!so,we muz not forget the holy spirit as the holy spirit guides us everyday in our lives and gif us the grace and wisdom of God to get things done sucessfully to glorify God!well,as for cg today,the atmosphere of God was really great 2!learnt abt healing! WoW...so next time whn ur friends r sick,learn to step out in faith to pray for the sick and believe in God for healing upon ur friends!well,tats all i got to say,hope u all enjoy ur coming week and for those having exams,may the grace and wisdom of God be wif u always!

hmm... whn i was looking at the mirror today,i suddenly tot of wat have i been doin for the past 2 weeks?? well,i confirm have been laming and craping in sch and abit of mugging too...hahaha....life for the past 2 weeks was great i muz say,even though there are many diffulties i go through but i noe God is wif me all the time!! and ture enough,i successfully overcame them!!!haha...these 2 weeks have been a fun week also...haha... wif ppl craping jokes and all those "Lame" stuff!! anyway,juz wanna urge u ppl to look at the mirror and start reflecting on urselfs!! hahax... if u have done a bad reflection,then it is time to change ur mindset and life!! hahax

aww... ytd i was sick,got fever and my whole body was aching badly... haha...BUT... i am Cured toDaY!!! Amen!! haha!! ytd svc was so GD mAN!!!KOOL... i was sick ytd but still eat Fish Burger...Lame rite??? not scared die LOL... haha.. juz wanna encourage u ppl even though u r sick but eat more fast food!! gd for HealTH and ur digestion!!!.... haha so lame ytd... ytd after svc all say wana go home in the end all da bao mac and eat at mac... lol... tats the lamest thing.. lol.. next time we da bao and eat there... haha
